I have a 2006 mk2 Ford Focus with 1.6 TDCI engine, and for years it appears to have been running cool in winter, taking a long time to get up to operating temperature. And sometimes even cooling off when in traffic. In spring/summer/autumn no issues, also not overheating.

The engine code is - DV6C (115BHP 1.6) and is a joint venture between PSA and Ford motor company. There is a software fix available at all Ford dealerships. Matthew is correct, the DV6C is the one with the issue. How you find out which engine code you have though is another story.

If you get an oil leak for instance then its best to repair it instead of losing oil pressure etc etc. We have bus engines that have done over a million miles with
