Well one that quickly comes to mind is Crimson & Clover. It's a 4 player free for all OR 2vs2 Med map. Yes, Conflux is the strongest if we include it, but also the most boring and stupidly designed town. It should be accessible in the Heroes III folder. IIRC the default install folder for GoG is "C:\GOG Games". Otherwise it's also available from the Start menu under GoG.com. I suggest you installing Heroes 3 Complete (which includes the original game plus all the official expansions) with the HD mod, this way you'll get a lot small interface features that can save you a lot of time as well as nice resolution, of course. Then you can play all the expansion Heroes of Might and Magic 3 had pretty amazing map generation. Random maps always felt pretty interesting, almost hand crafted, yet highly varied. Are there are resources or tutorials on how these maps were generated that people know of? There's VCMI, an open source homm3 engine that has random map generation. Code is here . PiqZ.
